How To Use Steel Seal

Steel Seal needs to be introduced to the vehicles cooling system for best results,

1) If you have tried inferior products or run an antifreeze other than an etheleyne glycol flush your cooling system with water after disconnecting bottom radiator hose. Do not use a flushing agent.

2) If you have flushed system reconnect bottom radiator hose.

3) Engine must be cold, turn the heater to maximum but not the fan.

4) Using factory recommended antifreeze (etheleyne glycol), pre- mix then introduce immediately one Litre of water and one litre of antifreeze for every bottle of Steel Seal. Do not use with any other antifreeze!
5) Before starting the engine, pour the pre-mixed solution into the radiator or header/overflow tank first, then top up the radiator/cooling system if is not yet full with an additional mixture of 50% water and 50% antifreeze.

6) Tighten the radiator cap back on.

7) Start the engine. Holding the Revs at around 1,000RPM. Continue this process until the temperature has reached 210f/99c degrees (This is normal operating temperature, just wait untill the fan has kicked in) then stop the engine and allow it to cool for one hour.
8) After the engine is cool, start it again and be certain that the temperature reaches 210f/99c degrees again and then after the thermostat has opened release all air within the cooling system and top up the radiator with more coolant if required, replace radiator cap on tight let the engine cool completely.

9)Now you can drive vehicle as usual.

To carry out the above sounds more complicated than it is. It is a relatively simple activity.

Additional Steel Seal Directions

These directions are for people that have a lot of back pressure building in the cooling system, usually shown as bubbling in the header tank or air forcing past the coolant cap.

1) Locate the cylinder causing the bubbling in the overflow tank or backpressure. (Remove plugs one at a time till bubbling stops)

2) Follow the directions above up to and including No.5.

3) Before starting the engine, remove the spark plug or injector from the cylinder that was causing the bubbling in the overflow tank or backpressure. If accessible, remove injector wire from that cylinder. This will limit the amount of unburned fuel going into the combustion chamber.

4) If you can not find the spark plug that is missing, run the engine with the coolant level down to the top of the radiator core and with the radiator cap off.

5) Continue with direction No.6 above. Make sure to run the engine up to temperature with the spark plug /Injector out and for the one final time with the spark plug/injector back in place.

What is Steel Seal™ made of?

Steel Seal™ is made of several chemicals that, when combined under the right circumstances, creates a permanent seal as strong as steel.

How does Steel Seal™ work?

Steel Seal™ is added to an antifreeze/water mixture and poured into the radiator of a cold engine. Once the engine is started and reaches operating temperature, Steel Seal™ is distributed through the engine. The product is drawn into the damaged area and seals the crack with a thermo-chemical bonding action process. Which is similar to that of an epoxy resin just in liquid form!

Will Steel Seal™ clog the engine’s cooling system?

Steel Seal™ is a clear formula that contains no fibrous materials or particles that could clog engine coolant passages. You can see that for yourself just look through the bottle.

Will antifreeze compromise the seal?

No, in fact, Steel Seal™ MUST be used with antifreeze.

Please use a good quality 2 year (blue) ethelyne glycol antifreeze.
5 year antifreeze (red in colour) can be used although you would need to double up on the water to dilute the antifreeze so as an example 1 x SteelSeal mixed with 1ltr of 5yr antifreeze and 2ltrs of water.

How long will steel seal last?

With Steel Seal™ the seal is permanent under normal operating conditions, but there is always the possibility of another leak in another part of the engine.

What will Steel Seal™ not fix?

Steel Seal™ will not seal leaks in hoses, seals, water pumps, or extremely large cracks in the head or block resulting in the vehicle not starting. If it does not run Steel Seal can not work as it relies on temperature.

Is Steel Seal a scam?

What do I do if I have used an inferior or other product making similar claims?

There are several good quality products on the market such as K-Seal, Holts Radweld and Seal up however they all rely on fillers unlike Steel Seal and can therefore break down. The cooling system must be flushed thoroughly with water, NOT a flushing agent.

Are there any special precautions I should take when using Steel Seal™?

Steel Seal™ should be kept out of reach of children. Avoid eye or skin contact. If eyes or skin become irritated with Steel Seal™, rinse with cold water immediately. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.

1 bottle is enough for vehicles upto 2.0 litres in Engine size, 2 bottles for 2.0-4.0 litre cars and 3 botles for anything over 4.0
